Love Tips for Girls

Understanding the language of love is difficult for even the savviest girl. No one is born with a handbook that guides them toward the right direction of any matter of the heart. Typically, we have two options: learn the hard way, or take advice from someone who's been there and done that. Below are three tips that will help you get the right guy and make you steer clear of the wrong guys.
  1. Don't Fall for the Bad Boy

    • If you're falling head over heels for the bad boy who never shows up to school, rides a motorcycle, smokes pot and has multiple "friends with benefits," resist the temptation. He likely doesn't respect the meaning of a committed relationship and will always be more focused on feeding his bad boy image than treating you like a lady.
If your idea of a romantic date is hanging out in his parent's basement reluctantly watching "The Godfather" while being pressured to make out, then by all means, date the bad boy. But, if you'd prefer a candle-lit picnic in the park where you first met, stick to the bookworms, prepsters and guys with good reputations who still believe in chivalry. They're the ones who have respect for their moms and have been taught to treat women with the respect we deserve.

    Don't Change Yourself

    • Changing your style, friends and personality might seem like the best way to get the guy. But it's truly a self-destructive pattern. Sure, it's possible that your crush may take an interest in you after these changes. But his attention and affection does no good if he isn't falling for the real you.
Instead of trying to be someone else, flirt with him and make some moves to see if he's into you. If he's responsive, you've got the green light; he might be into you. If he just shrugs you off, move on; he probably wasn't that hot to begin with. There will always be a hotter, smarter or more sensitive guy in your school that will appreciate you for the real you.

    Take Pride in Your Appearance

    • It's no secret that guys gravitate toward beautiful girls. Carve out some extra time in the morning to enhance your natural beauty by applying makeup and doing your hair. When applying makeup, be sure to cover up your imperfections with concealer and foundation and highlight the features you want to show off. Never use dramatic makeup that isn't age appropriate. You want to look a natural beauty, not like Lady Gaga, so go easy on the makeup.
Create a feminine hairstyle by curling your hair. All men love women with sexy, wavy hair. Use an actual curling iron to create bouncy waves. Steer clear of scrunching your hair with gel, it looks unnatural and leaves a less-than-appealing texture on the hair. Doing this each morning will not only enhance your beauty, but increase your confidence. Confidence is the sexiest accessory any woman can wear.
